About Me
Born into a musical family, it was no surprise that I gravitated towards music. After realising my instrumental and vocal talents at a young age, I have been performing professionally ever since, having been a regular on the local music scene for the last 20 years including as the lead vocalist for accomplished covers band Headfirst – former resident band at Oatley Pub. Other professional engagements have included a range of entertainment and corporate events at venues such as The Crest Hotel, Club Menai, St George Motor Boat Club, Bankstown Sports Club, Official Opening of the Bangor Bypass and Australia Day celebrations in the Sutherland Shire.
I am also an experienced soloist, with regular appearances around Australia from Sydney to Cairns and places in the Territory and even as far south as Lakes Entrance in Victoria. With musical experience across a range of genres including country, rock, soul, pop, blues and jazz – my song list always has something for everyone. I love performing as a solo singer and guitarist and look to take new audiences on a musical journey and share my love of music and passion for singing with the rest of Australia.
Recently I embarked on a new duo called "Gidget and Me" with an extremely talented guitarist Nigel Hendricks whom I have worked with for many years. Nigel has been in the music industry all his life, appearing on Countdown, headlining many popular bands including Shute and is now the musical director and driving force behind the long running rock band "Headfirst". He has supported acts such as INXS and Dragon to name just a few. With a wealth of experience this duo is an exciting and fun musical experience.
